有地下停车场还蛮大的，周边的绿化做得不错，交通挺方便的。酒店有不同的房型，如有的房间有提供会议厅，大的客厅，茶几之类的。房间很大从窗户的南面看视线一般

一个房间一个装修风格，每个方面的色彩都不同风格也不同。当时我住的那个房间主要就是红色的色调为主，卫生环境很好，干净整洁，我比较在意的就是床和卫生间的卫生了。它的周边环境不错，距离吃饭购物的地方很近。当时我去的时候正赶上酒店的大堂装修，不过房间里面的环境很好，住在里面感觉比较舒服。

从进入大堂到入住房间都弄得非常的有特色，而且用了种香水，气味很好吻。但是一楼的西餐厅自助晚餐跟行政楼的自助早餐品种偏少，不值那个价。

酒店位置不错，就在主干道上，很容易就能找到，房间虽然不少很大，但是很干净，酒店配备液晶电视及VOD机顶盒，可以观看凤凰卫视和台湾节目，不错。 房间配备中央空调，温度可以自由调节那种控制开关很实用方便，而且噪音很小，酒店附近有条美食街吃饭和购物很方便，酒店的早餐一般，种类不是很多。

Taiyuan actually has some good hotels I'm sure, but there aren't many listed on Ctrip or Elong, so I had to go with what I could find in the area I wanted: Hua Ming Hotel. The pictures on Elong looked fantastic, but Ctrip had a smaller/cheaper room listed, so I booked with Ctrip. Upon arrival in Taiyuan, my taxi driver kept telling me: that's a horrible hotel, don't go, I can take you somewhere nicer, Huaming is super shady - I thought he just wanted to scam me into changing my mind and staying at one of his affiliated hotels (drivers in China do that sometimes, they get a cut from places that they take unsuspecting customers to), but I really wish I'd listened to him, it really was that bad. My first impression when I entered the building was - wow, the Elong pictures are SUPER outdated. even the lobby was disgusting, and there was a certain decrepitude to everything. i felt dirty just being there, and looking back i really should have just walked out, but i kept thinking the rooms themselves would be better. I was given the small room i booked through Ctrip for RMB210/night. It was disgusting. stains all over the walls and carpet, ratty sheets, torn towels, broken curtains, and i couldnt sit straight on the toilet without my knees hitting the wall. there was some sort of menu on the makeshift desk and even with my elementary chinese i could tell it was for a certain type of illegal service involving pretty young girls - at the bottom, it said "free hourly room included", and i could just imagine that of course this free room would be the smallest and cheapest in the hotel, thus the one i was placed in, so i grabbed my things and asked to be placed in a larger room. The room I did end up staying in was the $280/night "luxurious single". it was much better than the first one, but still incredibly bad. everything smelled like cigarette smoke. it was badly designed and there was nowhere to put anything. the TV didnt have any decent international channels, but at this point that was the least of my worries. at least the sheets were less ratty and i could feel comfortable i wasn't in some sort of love den, though it was still way seedier than i was comfortable with and i got a phone call in the middle of the night from someone who seemed very flustered that I was female (had I been male I'm sure I would have been offered something along the lines of what was advertised on the "menu"). Anyway, I stayed there 2 nights and it tainted my entire Taiyuan experience. The city itself is already bad enough without a bad hotel to go along with it. Do yourself a favor and pick anywhere else. I hear the World Trade Hotel is safest if your budget allows. the New Era Hotel down the road from Huaming seems a lot better for mid-tier accommodation, and i saw a "rujia kuaijie" (Home Inn) in that area also, which is at least a chain and somewhat of a good bet though I haven't been in the Taiyuan one.
