这里太让人失望了。脏兮兮的,没有自来水,房间没锁、没床单、没手纸!员工一点都不礼貌,毫无用处,总是想捞点好处。之前说的组织的活动是骗人的。经理很粗鲁,有次出门半道上要加钱,我们没同意,竟然威胁说把我们仍在荒郊野外!有些“房间”其实是仓库,我们住的就是,价格还挺贵。我这辈子都没住过这么烂的地方!

安达客栈(Anda)提供的服务非常的重要,因为在呼特浩特(除了国际性酒店外)这是唯一一家适合外国旅行者入住的酒店。我和朋友选择安达客栈(Anda)是因为我们更喜欢当地的家庭式酒店。起初的时候,以为我们的选择挺不错的那---员工非常友善,景色美丽又别致,而且位置也挺隐蔽的。 不过,不久就暴露出了很多问题。酒店老板的态度从友善一下子转变到了卑鄙,无礼而且还不愿意道歉。第一个问题就是他们把我们提前两周预定的沙漠游给忘了而且还把我们给归入小帐篷而不是大帐篷里了—我们觉得还可以,至少还有我们的份儿,所以我们也没太计较。 随后,我们进沙漠而且意识到了很多问题。1.我们的帐篷没有支撑柱。2. 帐篷叶瓣太细了,都不能用,除此之外也没给准备手电筒。虽然酒店位于一个偏僻的地方而且还预报说有雨,但也没打算给生火。 如果我的朋友不是训练有素的侦察兵,知道怎样去生火,怎样去取火的话,否则我们下午7点的时候就得被迫去睡觉了。行程中,包装食物挺少的,如果我们没在休息站休息一会儿的话,我们就得饿。这种情况下,我们决定自己带点巧克力和咸饼干。 老板和他的员工在沟通上也存在问题。在我们旅行前,讨论了下我们的期待,酒店老板向我们承诺了一些儿事儿。随后,让我们惊奇的是,当我们已经离开后,向我们的向导提这些事儿的时候,向导对这些要求一无所知。因为老板根本没告诉她。 我们挺闹心的,我们的向导感到非常抱歉,就当前这种形势,向导承诺她会和老板通电话的,给我们赔偿。当她给老板打完电话回到房间时,表情挺沮丧的她说“老板现在对我们挺生气的”。这显然是他们的错误,但现在像是我们的错似的。 而且,他们给我们安排的景点都挺烂的: 1.围绕草地的骑马游—以为我们能走条好道那,但他们带我们这一个团走了一条泥泞的小路,根本不是景区内的道儿。时间到的时候,我们抱怨,想去一个景点漂亮的地儿。他们的解决方案挺容易的—就让我们多骑了一个小时啊!而且,我们的旅行要求是想让马跑的快点,但他们拒绝让这马跑的快些而且完全忽略了我们的旅行要求。一位70岁的老婆婆走的都会比这儿快啊! 2.沙漠之旅。我们想开吉普车和4驱。虽然路标上写着—自驾,但他们告诉我们说抱歉,你可以乘坐吉普车和坐在4驱的后面。这让我们有种上当受骗的感觉。 当我们返回酒店的时候,酒店的服务是最烂的部分了。在接近老板的之前,我们在那儿很有礼貌的等着其它的客人。他对所有的问题都不负责,他对我吼叫说:“你什么问题!你什么问题!我非常讨厌老板这个样子,我不想听到这话!给我写封邮件。 酒店超烂的员工在边上站着,说:“再见!”表情充满着歉意,他们感觉挺不好意思的而且也知道招待这些游客上,他们挺失职的甚至承诺说他们会学习而且会改善他们服务的。实际上,像这样一个老板,我不会来这儿的。 总之,安达客栈(Anda)的老板很好的利用了简约商务,因为在呼和浩特他的酒店是唯一一家能提供这种服务的酒店。他应该更好的学习下服务技巧---听听客人的意见,改善一下服务,雇几个好的导游而且好好的培训培训这些导游(他考虑雇佣的这些导游好像都是些年轻的,蒙古语,英语说的都很好而且办事儿麻利的年轻学生,但他们大多数都没什么经验),但不像安达客栈(Anda)这样有自己的客源。

We were 4 ladies from Aussie, aged between 55-45 and we found the staff at Anda very friendly and helpful. The hostel is close to great eating restarants, and easy public transport but best of all, we had a fantastic trip out to the Grasslands, staying with a wonderful Mongolian family and again, ate great food. Our guide was a lovely young lady, with a beautiful singing voice, so get her to sing to you when you go for a horse ride!!! This is cheap accommodation so please don't expect luxury, but our 4 bedroom door was clean and adequate and we had a wonderful stay. Thanks Anda

Anda provides a very important service because it is the only one in Hohhot (other than Hostelling International) catered to independent foreign travelers. My friends and I chose Anda because we prefer to support a local family-run business. And at first, we thought we made the right choice -- the staff were super friendly, the tours were exclusive and to beautiful, isolated locations. However, some problems emerged soon enough and the owner's attitude changed from friendly to being unapologetic, mean and downright rude. The first problem to arise was that they had forgotten our reservation 2 weeks in advance for a desert tour and we got relegated to smaller tents instead of the main tent -- fine, we thought, at least we were still able to go for it, so we didn't bring it up. Then we got to the desert and realized 1. no stakes for our tent, 2. the TINY rain flaps were completely useless in addition to them not packing us any flashlights or have a plan to build a fire despite us being in the middle of nowhere with forecast for rain. If my friends weren't trained scouts who knew how to build a fire and someone had a lighter, we'd be forced to go to bed at 7pm. There was also very little food packed for the trip and we would have starved if not for us stopping by a rest stop and we decided ourselves to pack a bunch of chocolate and crackers just in case. There was also a lot of communication issues between the boss and his staff. The night before our trip, we discussed our expectations and he promised certain things. And then, much to our surprise, when we brought it up to our guide after we had already left, the guide was completely clueless to the requests because the boss had not told her about them. We expressed our frustrations to our guide who felt very sorry for the situation and promised to make amends but when she communicated it to the boss over the phone, she came back to the room looking upset as she said "the boss is now angry at us" and it apparently became "their fault" even though it wasn't. Also, most of the activities they arranged for us were ridiculous: 1. horse ride through the grasslands -- of all wonderful routes they could pick, they brought us to a group that led us through a muddy, completely un-scenic path. After the hour was up, and we complaint about wanting to ride through the more scenic areas, their solution was easy -- just pay us for another hour! Also, they refused to make the horses go a little quicker and ignored our various requests just to speed things up a little. A 70 year-old grandmother could've walked faster. 2. Desert activities. We wanted to drive a jeep and ride a 4WD but they told us, sorry, you can sit in a jeep and ride on the back of a 4WD even though the SIGN said 自驾 -- drive on your own. We felt cheated. The worse part was when we returned to the guesthouse, we had the courtesy to wait for other guests to be out of earshot before approaching the boss. Not only did he not take responsibility for the various problems, he yelled at us "What's your problem! What's your problem! I am very tired. I don't want to listen to this! Write me an email. Goodbye!" His poor staff stood by the side looking apologetic, they had felt bad and agreed that they've done a bad job with our tours and even promised to learn and improve their services. But really, with a boss like that, I wouldn't want to work there. In a nutshell, the Anda boss is taking advantage of an easy business because his is the only type of guesthouse that provides such a service in Hohhot. He needs to learn better customer service skills -- listen to customers and improve, hire and train tour guides (he seems to think hiring young Mongolian fresh grads with good English abilities is sufficient but most of them are inexperienced), and just not be such an A$$ to his own customers.

This place and a rat’s whole can’t be that different. It was dirty, with no running water, no locks in the rooms, no sheets, no toilet paper! The staff was unfriendly and unhelpful, as well as ready to bribe you at any time. The promised trips they organized where a complete lie. The manager was rude and threatened once and again to leave us in the middle of nowhere if we didn’t pay his increasingly higher rates for doing almost nothing. Some of the “rooms” where store rooms where they packed us. And expensive. I think this has been my worst experience, not only in China, but in the whole world.
