We stayed at the Comfort Hotel for three nights and thouroughly enjoyed both the town and the hotel. We especially commend the excellent service and warm personal touch that Simon Chen, manager, and Jacky Au, chef, bring to the hotel. Both were helpful, knowledgable, English speaking, and available throughout the day and evening. They assisted us to find our way to the city's cultural sites and things to do, and to educated us on the wide range of dishes, local and Cantonese, Chef Au's kitchen turns out from breakfast to dinner. Their staffs are well-trained and reflect the same high degree of care for the hotel's guests' needs as Mr. Chen and Mr. Au. From the hotel it was a short walk to the museum, pagaoda, and night market and other sites.
Stayed there for one night, and can recommend it. I had the medium category of rooms, whatever that means for the other categories. Mine had a separate living room facing the main road, and a bedroom to the back. The bathroom is a glass palace. Everything feels very new. Internet was included and the breakfast as well. That one was firmly catering to Chinese tastes, but for me quite ok. Loved their steamed bread or cake, whatever you want to call it. The location is not in the center, how far it is I cant judge since I did not have the chance to find out.
The drawback is that the corridors are populated by attendants which tend to shout to each other inquiries rather than considering the guests behind the doors in front of which they are shouting. They dont shout at night though, so for me it was ok.
